In humans two things I’d check for leg muscle fasciculations are magnesium and potassium (actually all electrolytes but my $ would be placed on potassium)

in humans diabetes can cause electrolyte imbalance esp potassium ( due to intracellular shift of K with insulin)…plus diabetics tend to have neurological issues on top of electrolyte ones

fwiw—in humans

Thanks Colleen! I had a couple opinions from a vet tech and the actual vet and they basically told me to just keep an eye on it if it gets any worse. Next time he’s into the vet I’ll see if they can check those levels.
