Hi All.
I havent been on much here but my boy is doing pretty good.

My question today is...
Digestive enzymes.
I know there are plant based and animal based.
I was told that plant based are better for general support for cats
And animal based are better for cats/dogs with digestive conditions.
So. Are the animal based enzymes good for cats with pancreatitis?? Whether 1st time or chronic.

I started Sprocket on Dr. Goodpet Digestive Enzymes with probiotics at same time as milk thistle. Since then I do see a very good change in both my cats. Those are plant based.

I was given animal based enzymes by someone here but then my discussion started and was told not to use for Sprocket because of above info.
I gave one jar to a dog i petsit for that has digestive issues for past year.
I have 2 more left and would like to send to 2 people that are having issues with pancreatitis but only if it would help their cats.

Thoughts please.
I will reply when i can as i got a busy week.
Thanks.

I don't know much about that. We used FortiFlora packets to restore the gut bacteria for our kittehs in the past 2 years. It seemed to work good. Especially when they had diahrrea.

Other than that our 3 cats seem to digest regular canned Fancy Feast foods fairly well.

Thanks i use that too to get my boy to eat but the digestive enzymes are more than fortiflora.
