Hi, I’m sorry about the duplicate post, I’m new and I haven’t figured it out yet. We just had our 11 year old cat diagnosed with diabetes and I have done 2 curves on her at home to save money and for her sake because she’s a complete indoor cat and has always been scared of everything. We have just adjusted her insulin for the second time which I have been told this is normal in the beginning. Thank you for replying to me

That's ok don't worry about the duplicate post

It is normal for insulin to need adjustments not just in the beginning, but all the time, insulin is not a medicine is hormone, and actually the curves made at home are better than the ones done at the vet because most cats not only yours do get nervous at the vet and that in itself raises their blood glucose, testing at home is the way to go, still it would be very helpful if you share your test results and let us know a bit more about your cat (age, illness, what he's eating, etc)

Here's the link to a spreadsheet we use here if you could set it up it would help us get an idea of what is going on and once you get the hang of it I'm sure you will find it very useful too
