question about a bump on skin where I injected?

Hi all
Just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to, I was injecting Scrabble this morning and he wanted to be playful and try to bite the plunger part of the needle. When I injected him he moved a little and the needle came out a bit but I put it back in and injected him. I noticed afterwards a bump on his skin. Is this normal? Did I do something wrong? I am injecting on his sides where the vet shaved a spot on both sides of his body, I try to rotate spots.
 
No he is not microchipped, think it was just some irritation from the shot because when I got up now (5 hours later) the bump was gone, I won't shoot on the side for a day or so to make sure
