Hiya :-D
I am looking for a higher quality, lower fat content type canned food. Sadi has gained some weight.. she is active, so I am not concerned about getting her to lose a lil..
But she is 9, nearly 10 & I dont want to set her up for destruction by adding lbs to her girly figure. I would love to have her on Raw like her sister Baby, but she refuses.. believe me.. I have tried everything.. putting 5 Temptations down & just a dot of raw under one & she eats all the Temptations but manages to leave the dot of raw.. I have hid a dot in Tuna & Salmon.. & every other canned kind of food. Sadi refuses.

She is currently given Wellness (which is where the weight gain came from) & Pro Plan.. she is non diabetic & her last BG was 42. I really have any option, except I want a lower fat content.

Any suggestions?

Merrick Cowboy Cookout and some other flavors are a little lower in fat than Wellness, but still low carb. Other than home cooked cat food, I don't know of any other low fat, low carb food.

Rather than focusing on fat, you should instead focus on calories and amount fed. Cats should have a higher fat content than what we would want for ourselves.

Thanks, everyone! I learned something new :-D
I will feed less, I do add water currently - but will add more water.
We do have Cowboy Cookout too.. thank you to each of you!
