Pyewacket & I Thank You All

My sugar baby Pyewacket has passed away 6 years after being diagnosed. Ultimately it was cancer that took her away, but she lived to be almost 21 years old thanks to the information you have all provided and the support of the group. I'd like to thank you all for helping me and Pyewacket accept the diagnosis, overcome that initial fear and ignore the naysayers. We did a hell of a job for a long time thanks to you all.

I'd also like to make Pye's supplies available to anyone who could make use of them before they go bad. If there is a newbie to the group or someone who needs a replacement, I have an Ascenscia Contour glucometer (as well as an Elite XL backup) with 50+ test strips, a microlet or 2, a lot of lancets, and about 40 U-100 31 gauge 8mm syringes. Please email me directly and I'd be happy to put them in the mail to you.

Thank you all so much,
Christina

I am very sorry for your loss, but glad to read that she had a grand long life! I've always liked her name as I think I knew a horse years ago with the same name and thought it very neat.
