Continuing from my last thread. Having a hard time figuring out what to do about Pumpkin's hydration situation.
She hasn't really drank water on her own a whole lot since the diagnosis nearly a week ago on the third so getting SubQ fluids was critical but also possibly made thing worse since I didn't know about overhydrating with too much too fast. She has a lot of the symptoms that I pushed off as other things but will be seeing the vet in 3.5 hours here.
Her appetite fluctuates but never allows her to eat more than a half a can of food so I'm having to syringe feed, but now I'm not only worried about accidental aspiration if I get too hasty, but I'm worried about giving her things with the whole fluid retention/overhydration situation on top of that. Don't know that my vet will have any fixes other than rest so I'm a stressed out mess.
