Hey all,
I've had to start feeding Pumpkin with a syringe. Doc gave me a special canned food called a/d that I'm watering down. I gave her 5cc at about 11:30-so far it seems to be staying down. She hadn't eaten anything since the 2 tbls. of baby food last night around 7pm and didn't drink anything either. I tested her at 6:30am and her BG was 191. I didn't want to give her a shot because she wasn't eating, so I went out and bought some things, different flavors of baby food, parm. cheese, etc. Called the vet when I got home when she still wouldn't eat. They suggested feeding her by syringe and put together a little package for me of different syringe sizes and a can of that food. So I got home and tested her again, BG was 240, so I gave her 1 unit and then fed her afterwards. I'm going to wait a couple of hours and give her more. I feel better now that I know she's had some food and water, but I still wish she'd eat. Baby steps, I suppose.
