Hello,

Pudge's sliding scale:
200-249=.8unit
250-299=1unit
300-349=1.2unit
350 and higher=1.4unit

Pudge's ss is up to date, started his sliding scale with PMPS on 2/20.
2/20/12
AMPS 528 1.8unit +3=332 +6=195
PMPS 443 1.4unit

2/21/12
AMPS 460 1.4unit +4=267 +6=310 & 311 (checked 2X with same blood droplet)
PMPS 420 1.4unit +4=313

I've noticed that slowly but quite noticeably all 3 of my cats are eating less. I'm attributing this to having switched from dry to the canned and higher protein food this past December. Yes, less carbs!!

Re: Pudge

Yeah on fewer carbs, fewer diabetics!

He is still bouncing around, giving you lots of different things. Normal nadir, early nadir, blues to reds. I know it is frustrating, but I would just continue with the scale and see if he settles down.

Re: Pudge

Hi Sophie,

I would give the scale a few days to settle in. The scale is very conservative because I thought it would help stop the bouncing and give Pudge a chance to clear the rebound hormones. Then we can re-evaluate the scale.

Hang in there.

Re: Pudge

Pudge's AM +4 today was 218.
Like this lots more than yesterday's (+4 267) or Monday's (+3 332) numbers! Usually it's a good predictor of his +6 number. We'll see. I'm still losing my battle updating his ss in a reasonable amount of time - sorry!

Like his AM+6 of 98, we have not seen green for a while! Thanks Robin!! And Sue, and all you guys. Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us.

Wonderful news on the green today!
Hopefully this will be the start of a new trend for you !
