ProZinc to Lantus Glargine conversion

My cat was on 2.5 units of ProZinc 2x/day before switching to Lantus Glargine a month ago. He started out at 1 unit 2x daily but has been on 2 units 2x daily for about 3 weeks. His BG numbers remain high. What's the unit conversion from ProZinc to Lantus? Are they the same or should he be getting more Lantus units?

There really is no conversion chart

I'm sorry I really don't think anyone would give you any advice on dosing since you do not have a spreadsheet set up , are you home testing?

Unless they can see your cats BG numbers and how the insulin has been working for your cat I don't think they will feel comfortable giving any advice

If you can fill this out and set up a spreadsheet that would be helpful
Here is a link helping us to help you link. If you noticed, our members have some basic information about their cat's in their signature. This helps us to not pester you by asking the same questions (your cat's name, insulin type, date of diagnosis, etc.) repeatedly. We also have a link to our spreadsheet in our signature. We are very numbers driven. The spreadsheet is a record of your cat's progress. By linking it in your signature, we can follow along and provide feedback should you need the help.

Hi and welcome. I would suggest you set up your spreadsheet and signature so we can help you.
There is no conversion from one insulin to another, but when swapping over, depending on what the BG data has been, the dose usually remains similar or slightly lower.
Once you set up the spreadsheet and we can see the data, we can guide you on increasing the dose but until then we can’t. It would not be safe.
Is your kitty eating well and not lethargic? It’s very important that he is eating well.
Have you been testing for ketones in the urine? If not I would recommend you buy some Ketostix from Walmart or a pharmacy and collect a urine sample and test the urine for ketones…..we don’t want to see any ketones.
When you reduce the dose of insulin quite a bit, or stop it with a diabetic cat suddenly, there is a risk of ketones forming. So checking for them is a wise move.
Keep asking questions.
