ProZinc Available in Canada

I posted this on the Supply Closet, but it has gotten no response there.

Received this note from a friend. I can hook you up if you are interested. This person wants to sell the ProZinc, not give it away.

Two vials of ProZinc available for purchase, imported from the US. The expiry dates on both vials are September 2011. One vial is NIB - never opened, the other has had 40.0u drawn from the 1000u in the vial. It needs to go to a Canadian cat, as getting it back across the border would likely mean it gets confiscated by customs. Would be a good opportunity for someone wanting to try ProZinc without having to go through all the import hassles first. Insulin is located in Toronto.

I'm trying to recoup some of my costs - my FD bill over the past few years is staggering. Not looking to make money - just not lose any if possible.

I realize this is a very old post but am looking at trying to get ProZinc for my cat in Canada. Could someone tell me how I would go about importing it?

ProZinc is obtained through your vet, not at drug stores like human insulins. Is your vet saying there is a shortage? (There does seem to be in the US, at least until Fall.) Here is a thread from the PZI forum about alternative compounded PZI: http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewforum.php?f=24
