Prozinc allergic?

Hi everyone

Has anyone had or heard of a cat that has a reation to prozinc>? I have a cat that has been very lethargic using prozinc.. Just started (1 week) so mostly high numbers 150-450
No ketones xrays negative blood test (cbc) are within norms for a diabetic, slightly elevated bun
Something else is going on besides the diabetes here.

what dose are you giving and what's the dosing schedule? what's the cat eating, any recent changes?
What does the vet have to say about the reaction to Prozinc and the elevated BUN?

I have not heard of that with Prozinc but I definitely think its possible with any insulin. Merlyn was very lethargic after his shots of PZI Vet, and would hide in the bathroom by the toilet for an hour or so, before he would be sociable.

With Lantus, the first shot he did go to the bathroom by the toilet but came out very quickly. I think he was so used to feeling punk (not hypo) from the shot that he went there automatically before realizing he felt fine. On Lantus he never did that again, hiding and feeling so lethargic after shot. I

It was like his body didnt like the PZI Vet. And he had wonky numbers on it also.
