Problem solved

Nice blue start to our day. He ate well this morning ready to eat gave shot. Bowl empty by pick up time.

Acted fine all day and then tonight he is off his feed. Don't know why but he refused to eat. I ended up giving him FF Grilled Salmon & Shrimp feast in gravy, which he ate happily and with gusto I might add, I only gave half of a 3oz can, 12g carbs according to food chart. He only took 2 licks of his Weruva BFF Tuna and chicken then walked away. I even tried Dr. Elsey's clean protein dry chicken which he turned his nose up too. After he ate the half of can of FF grilled I gave him his shot. Still have half a can in ice box wondering if i should wait to see where his numbers go or feed the rest to him????

If he was sick wouldn't he also not eat the FF Grilled?? I don't know what to think.

Was planning a curve tonight but now that I've had to feed the medium carb food to get him to eat the curve will be slightly skewed. Should I go ahead and do the curve tonight or just spot check and observe???

Once again he has me worried about him. He is always ready to eat since I changed to Weruva. Vet is open till noon tomorrow so if he Doesn't eat some later tonight or won't eat in morning I may have to take him to the vet. Will be up all night to observe him.

Sometimes cats just stop liking the food they’ve been loving for months. They’re finicky that way and I see that happen with my Bobo all the time which of course makes my job a lot harder.

I agree with you, if he was sick or nauseated he wouldn’t want to eat no matter what you gave him. Personally, I think eating trumps the extra carbs tonight so I’d give him the rest of the can if you think he needs more food or save it as you may need in the am. You might just want to go to a store tomorrow and try a couple of different flavors to see if he’ll eat the new ones. Also, as a backup do you have any baby food and/or tuna?

Thank you Ale for the reply. I have tuna so that is an option. Decided to go ahead with the curve tonight am interested in what his numbers will look like on higher carb food. I'll pick up some Tiki cat tomorrow, that's what I fed before, cause as they say, variety is the spice of life, guess that pertains to cats and food as well lol.

Just when you think you have this figured out kitty goes no you don't.

Yeap don’t I know it! Mine do that all the time. When it’s not Bobo it’s Minnie and when it’s not Minnie it’s Bobo.

You might want to grab some baby food too. I find that so far they don’t seem able to resist it so it’s my go to when I get desperate

So pmps was 209 +2 254 and now he is eating what he didn't want earlier lol. Teal'c you will be the death of me. Will pick up some baby food wish I would of thought of tuna before I grabbed the MC. Live and learn. Going to remove the question mark on my thread. Call it problem solved. Lol
