I can't believe this is happening. Skippy has some sort of intestinal blockage and the vet has do an exporitory surgery. Could be a foreign object or a tumor. Also, and this is very scary, she said he could have FIP. He doesn't fit the DX, but she couldn't rule it out. Dottie could get sick with FIP. I'm sick to my stomach. I hate his.

Re: Prayers need for my young civi Skippy

I'm so sorry, Sandy. I'll keep Skippy, Dottie and you in prayers. Sending tons of positive thoughts your way.

(((Sandy))) I'm so very sorry for your loss. You've had a rough time lately with your kitties. Skippy is healthy and happy at the Rainbow Bridge with Cecil and Jessie.

Don't hesitate to call if I can do anything for you, my friend.

Sadly, It was intestinal cancer which was wide spread. I had to let him go. They are going to send some biopsies out to see if he had FIV, he tested negative last fall for the Feline Leukemia, so hopefully that was accurate. I don't know about the FIP, she didn't mention that. I sure hope it wasn't a virus that could be spread to Dottie. Seems odd that such a young cat would get cancer, whithout a virus triggering it.

Oh Sandy, I am so sorry.
Fly forever free precious Skippy.
Cecil will find him and take care of him now.

I am so very sorry to read of your loss. Words escape me - but do know that Skippy is pain free now at the bridge. He will always live on in your heart and your memories. Fly free Sweet Skippy.

oh no, Sandy. Their time with us is always too short, but it's even more sad when they haven't been with you for very long. He had a fantastic life with you.

Thanks everyone, I just can't belive this. Last June I had to let Cecil go and in August Jessie. Now, less than one year later my new kitten Skippy. I thought he was healthy and that was a relief, because of all the stuff I went through with Cecil. My first cat Rat was 5 when I lost her to an asthma attack, she was never healthy and that was hard. Luckily, I had about 9 years of not having to deal with health issues with Cecil, Jessie and Dottie. My DH's cat Stubby was DX with diabetes first, but prior to that he was healthy for about 6 years.

I don't know....Just feeling heart broken now. Thinking it's just me and Dottie. She is 13 and has Hyper-T, so that concerns me. She is on meds and doing well, so that's good. No more new cats, I feel it's wouldn't be fair to Dottie. She had to adjust to Skippy and I'm not having her stressed out over another new kitty. Once Dottie's time comes, I'll probably adopt some new kitties. I love cats and think I will always want them around me, but I do stress over them. Sigh....

Dear Sandy, We are so very sorry to learn of Skippy's premature death. He's in a good place now, and he will always be in your heart. Fly free, little guy!

((Sandy)) I hope that whatever it was, that Dottie is free and clear and healthy. You made such a loving, brave, and courageous choice. I hope I have the strength to make that decision for my babies should I need to. One of my deepest fears is not being able to let them go when they're ready b/c I'm too selfish.

Tears. Thinking of you.

Fly Free Skippy! Fly free.

((( Sandy )))

I'm so sorry, Sandy. Skippy is forever young, and he's never known anything different. You took him in and gave him a wonderful life, he was so lucky to have found you. I'm so very sorry your time together was too short.

oh, sandy, i'm terribly sorry. it's so hard to lose them, especially when they're young. you did the brave and true thing, to release skippy and let him fly free.
(((SANDY)))

(((((Sandy))))) I am so sorry for your loss. They are so special to us and the time we have with them no matter how long, is much too short. Please know that you are being thought of and that you gave Skippy a wonderful life, all the time he was with you and that is what matters. He loves you and you love him. I do realize that there are no words that can take any of your grief away. Be kind to yourself, and give extra love to your little critter ((((hug)))))

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Losing those we love is such a painful part of life. Take care of you and love up your furbaby, Dottie, all you can...she will be missing Skippy, too.

I am so sorry for your loss. Three in such a short period. I don't know how you can bear it.

It sounds like they certainly had a wonderful Mom, though.

Fly free, little one.

Donna
