Prayers For My Beloved Pirate - Please

I can hardly type these words through my tears but my sweet pirate Fitzel is in desperate trouble. She can't seem to tolerate the pancreatic enzymes she must have for her EPI vomiting them up about five or ten minutes after she receives them. We've tried assisted feeding, capsules, in her food directly and raw pancreas. For whatever reason her system is rejecting what she needs to live.

Also our attempts to manage her IBD have utterly backfired. The budesimide has sent her numbers up to the 400 and 500's. That has now been stopped but her numbers are slow to know this.

She is constantly crying because no matter how much she eats she is slowly starving - she's not metabolizing what she's eating and is steadily losing weight.

She is sticking very close to mommy - only leaving my side to cry for food or use the litter box. She's asleep on my lap right now. I know she is looking to me go help her and I'm running out of worldly options. She's not at the place where I'm ready to put her to sleep but I see us there in the next month or so if things don't change.

Please forgive my lack of response to the board as I'm stuck with my phone for Internet useage and limited by my data plan.

I'm asking for your prayers however you pray or affirm to God or Spirit as you know it to be.

I'm keeping Pirate in my prayers, hope you find a wise vet that will find the right medicine to help Pirate through this.

Oh Shai, I'm so sorry to hear Fitzel is having such a hard time. Many many prayers and vines to you both, that something will be figured out that will work.

My only thought is whether there's a specialist at a vet school with whom you can consult. Or, have you tried a different brand of pancreatic enzymes?

Poor Pirate Fitz! It appears she may be skirting the beaches of Davy Jones locker. I do hope her condition improves, but if she decides to cross you can rest assured she knows she is loved and has had a wonderful life. You have done so much for her and I'm sure she has returned every drop of love ten fold. Hold her closely and appreciate every day! Sending white light and snowflakes. I hope you can both find peace in this time of desperation. :YMHUG:

There really should be another language especially for feelings which run deeper than others. Thank you seems pale and insufficient. We are coming to the end of another difficult day.

My Pirate is finally asleep though I know she's still hungry. I'm allowing her to eat whenever she wants. I can't help her to feel full right now but I won't let her cry before empty bowls. She's drinking water like when she was first dx with diabetes. Her numbers today have all been in the high 400's. I know ketones are probably stalking her but for today they have yet to arrive. Each test I hold my breath and the negatives are only a snapshot of the most recent past. Ketones could be there in the next hour. The next two. The next day. No relief or celebration in a negative reading with her numbers this high.

Thank you all for your beautiful vines, thoughts and prayers. I believe strongly in their value and a ability to call forth healing where there is so little left to do.

I need to read your loving and heartfelt words. You are all so important to me. To my beloved Fitz.
I have an animal communicator coming next week. I hope this too might be a path to wholness for my kitty.

Shai, I just wanted to say how sorry I am that your Pirate is so ill. I am new to the message board but I can see you have taken such good care of Pirate. I will remember both him and you in my prayers. Please don't give up hope. Ann (Pumpkin's Mom)

I spoke with Shai last night and she is having computer problems so she cannot post replies right now but she and Fitzel are so very grateful for all of your responses and healing thoughts. Miss Fitzel is eating on her own although without any enzymes as she cannot tolerate any of them-everything has been tried- her pancreas is no longer working at all. Shai is still giving insulin and feeding Ftizel as often as she will eat. The animal communicator has visited them and was very helpful. I will update more for Shai & Fitzel if she is unable to- and for anyone that still checks spread sheet- it is simply too hard for Shai to keep up with at the moment- she will try to update it when she can-

Please continue to keep Priate Fitz and her wonderful mom Shai in all of your thoughts and prayers and please continue to send healing, white light and whatever other vines you can spare.....

Prayers and healing vines to your precious baby. (I have pancreatic enzymes that are round tablets that crumble right in your fingers into the food.Neither of my boys ever got sick from them. Are yours like that)?
