my cat stanley has 2 accidents this morning by pooping on the floor and not his litter box.
he has diabetes and we just found out the 19th of this month. so yes i am really new to this. Im just scared that his sugar is to high and i have no way to test it at the moment.
no i havent made any changes to his litter or placement of his box.
he seems to be drinking alot too. should i take away his water?
i dont know what to do someone please help

Diabetic cats that are unregulated will drink more water, as well as produce more urine. You should not take away his water, as he could easily become dehydrated.

As for the pooping outside the box, that one can sometimes be hard to figure out. Is it possible he’s stressed? Any new changes in your house? How are his back legs? It could also be because he’s not feeling well.

And his back legs seem normal? Not walking flat on his back feet or anything like that? I ask because cats that have been diabetic for a while can get neuropathy which causes weakness in the back legs
