pooping outside the litter box

i woke up today to my cat Stanley has pooped in the kitchen and also in the living room. we just found out on the 19th of this month that he has diabetes and is taken 3 cc of insulin twice a day. when he was at the vet his level was 420. any advice would be great
no i havent change anything in the litter or litter area.
he is 12 years old abouts.

Hi, sorry nobody got to this sooner.

Unfortunately the pooping (and peeing) outside the litterbox can be a symptom of Unregulated diabetes - in fact, that's how my cat got diagnosed, I brought him in for going outside the litterbox.

There can be other causes, both physical and behavioral, so might be worth a chat with your vet.
