1st time this has happened. There was wet spot other side of tent. Wait till next shot time? This is frustrating!

Yes it is 100% frustrating but we have all done a fur shot. You don't know how much insulin got in so if you were to try to redose you could cause big problems - the only thing you can do is wait until his/her PM

Thanks! That's what I thought. Do I stick with the normal daily feeding amount until pm shot or lighten it up?

I wouldn't change anything in your routine - if Poncho is not regulated he will be hungry no matter what - and I have been told that lack of food can cause spikes also. Just pretend he got his shot (even though you know a bunch of it is on his fur) and continue with your routine.

Hi Christoph,

Sorry to hear about the fur shot. As has been advised above, in such circumstances you never know whether some insulin was delivered. My vets always warned me that if I had a hiccup when giving an injection to always wait until the next dose was due. When I wasn't sure about a particular injection, I would keep an even closer eye on Saoirse during that cycle. If anything looked unusual, I'd give my vets a call to run any concerns I had past them.
