My foster cat Mikey is on Vetsulin. His PMPS was "HI". I used two strips because I thought the first one was wrong, but nope. He seems fine but may be getting a URI. Ketones with Nova Max Plus was 0.6, but the strips expired August 2023. At +2, his BG is down to 446.

I should hopefully be getting ProZinc tomorrow.

Are you going to be able to get a +4 or +5? If you haven't already, you might give him a small snack of his regular low carb food just to try to slow down how fast he's dropping.

Dropping too low, too fast or into numbers the body isn't used to anymore can cause a "bounce" where the liver, thinking the BG is too low or dropping too fast releases stored sugars and hormones to bring them back up (even though that's the last thing we need right now with him Hi to 400's) but it has it's own ideas and there's not much we can do about it. Bounces can last up to 6 cycles, but usually, as you spend time in lower numbers, the liver will re-learn that it's OK to be there and stop throwing such a fit.

Thanks Chris! I ended up falling asleep last night :/

His AMPS is now back to normal (for him) thankfully!! I really hope his ProZinc comes today.
