Please welcome gizmo! He's an 8 1\2 year old black cat that was diagnosed with diabetes about two months ago. Its been a long road full of frustration trying to learn everything myself from trial and error. His sugars are mostly regulated on prozinc and a diet of wet, non-grains food. I'm glad to find a place where everyone understands and can offer support. I can't seem to figure out how to load images, but I'll have some as soon as I figure out how

Welcome! I gave you the ProZinc protocol on your other thread. If you have any questions, just ask.

The last thing to get going is a spreadsheet. It is a great color coded Goggle document. You can put it in your signature. Then any time you have a questions, people will be able to see
Gizmo's numbers and dosing history at a glance. It's a little tricky so if you need help, just ask.

Welcome phoenixfire122 and Gizmo!

I'm new here too, but I already know that you have come to the right place! There is so much information, and everyone is so caring and helpful. You're going to love it here.

Grain free is NOT necessarily low carb. Legumes (peas and beans), root vegetables (potatoes, turnips, carrots), and fruits all come with carbs. Avoid being fooled.

Please got to Cat Infor to get a comprehensive list of US foods and their nutritional breakdown as percent of calories from each of protein, fat, and carbohydrate. The ones you have may or may not be on the list.
