If you hold the syringe point up you should see a dome starting small at the needle and widening to the diameter of the syringe. It makes an easy to see definable line around the inside of the cylinder.
In many syringes I have seen The top of the first line (top holding syringe need up) should be even with the dome line. If it is not you can have quite a variance with small doses. I sort mine out and separate them into groups and then adjust the doses accordingly.
