I don't test as much as a lot of people on here do but I hope that there is enough info on there for someone to guide me on dosing. I increased the dosage to 1.25 and it doesn't seem to be doing too much. Should I go ahead and up it to 1.5 for the next couple of days? Vet won't email me back (since Monday) and I haven't tried to call her.

We did leave yesterday to go out of town for my husband's surgery and Lucky is with us. I'm sure he's pretty stressed. I don't have time to do a curve or to test a whole lot since I'll be at the hospital.

I'll check in later to see what everyone thinks! Thanks!!
 
Stress can definitely change things around. How long will you be at the hotel with him? You might have to go up to 1.5u while at the hotel and then re-evaluate things when you get back home.
 
I can't give dosing advice, but I have to agree that you may want to go up to 1.5, just while you are there.
I would still want to try and get a spot check here or there if you can.
Stress can cause bg's to go up, but depending on how long you will be in the hotel, Lucky may had had some stress cause of the car ride, but may settle in at the hotel since you are there and you brought something of kitty's along, right?... :smile:

I am not a dosing expert--but, after reviewing your SS-- if Lucky was my cat I would increase to 1.5.

You have no test showing low numbers.

I will increase to 1.5 tonight and do a check on him at +3 or so before we go to bed.

I did bring a towel that he lays on a lot but he's been hiding under the pack n play for most of the time we've been here. He did come out last night and kicked around in the litter box a bit and sniffed around the room. It's not the ideal situation for him but it's the only option since we couldn't afford a sitter for him who could have come in 2x a day to feed him and give him his shots.

We'll be checking out on Sunday morning, so it's not a real long stay. I'm getting ready to check his BG, it's about +3 right now.
 
Hubby's surgery got canceled today because the surgeons office didn't follow up on the replacement disc delivery, so it wasn't there this morning! Argh! Hopefully surgery tomorrow morning (after complaining!) and another day here. Poor Lucky :(

Started 1.5u tonight, we'll see what the +3 is like tonight and the +12 in the morning!
 
I'm sorry about the surgery, I know it must be tough on all of you. You get yourself all set then they cancel. Ugh...
