I know you may be thinking I am crazy to ask strangers for help. But this cat is my entire world. She has saved my life more times than I can count. She is %100 my emotional support on my bad days. I really need all the support I can get to keep her treatments going. [Info removed pending Admin approval]

Kristie, glad to read that your baby is home with you. There are several people here who are well-versed in treating kitties with DKA at home, @Tanya and Ducia is the first one who comes to my mind, but there are others, too. Please reach out to these folks, they will be more than happy to share their knowledge with you!

After three days in the hospital and many medications later I got to bring my baby home! I almost lost her, thank god for a friends and family who donated to my go fund me or I would not of had the funds to treat her and that would have crushed me. I am so thankful. So far she is doing pretty well. She had ketoacidosis and pancreatitis . Unfortunately she lost most of her eyesight but she is managing very well. She is showing signs of neuropathy in her hind legs, so I orderd some methyl b-12 for cats because I read many good reviews on that helping. She is currently on an antibiotic for the pancreatitis, a pain med for the neuropathy and her normal insulin. She's finally eating on her own again. She struggles to jump up on the bed but she's getting there.

:bighug: so happy to see she's home. Do reach out to those with experience with post dka care. It can be a rough road but it's all worth it.

Poor kitty- pancreatitis is bad enough by itself. we went through that for a few months, and it is really important to keep track of everything your kitty is eating/med being taken, etc. We had pills for inflammation, pills for anti-nausea, pills for anti-vomiting and pills to stimulate appetite. If you have any trouble with appetite, do not be afraid to ask your vet for something to help with that since it is so important that she is eating regularly while she is on insulin. The prescriptions we got for those pills were not too bad for cost, well worth it.
