My mom has an 8 year old diabetic cat. About 5 hours ago we couldnt find her. Searched the house, found her hiding and she wouldnt come out. We got her out and noticed her skin was super loose. So took her in for water. But then we noticed. She wouldnt drink. Tried getting her wet food(she always attacks us right when she sees it) and nothing. She turned her head away. Tryed her fav treats. Again, nothing. So i got a syringe and gave her some water. And have been giving her a lil every now and then. But she wont eat. And if we try to get her attention its like she doesnt hear us. She just seems super tired. We gave her her vetsulin shot. And i tryed putting a bit of the wet food in her mouth. But idk what to do. I finally got my moms diabetic meter and looked up how to test a cat. It came up as 169 google says thats good. But then why is she so sick??. Any advice??our vet is closed so would have to pay the emergancy fee. Plus the after hour fee. And the easter holiday fee. We are on a super tight budget. So would prefer to wait until 8am to take her 8f we need to. But she looks so sick idk if we should just go now. Its 3am. She could have gotten into something. Shes a lil ninja at getting at any food not closely momitored. But if she did it would hav been last night. So it couldnt just be affecting her now??
