The last time I skipped insulin it went very high snd took me two days to get back down.

I just want to be sure, using the Relion, I skip the shot. I don’t want to mess Robert up.

When you get a Pre-shot that you're not sure about shooting, the best thing to do is stall, DON'T feed and test again in 20-30 minutes to see if the number goes up without the influence of food. Use that time to post with a very clear subject line like "STALLING! NEED HELP!" to get somebody's attention. Once you have somebody that says they can help you, you can go back and edit the subject line again.

I would have suggested you stall since he went from 114 to 167 and I'd bet if you'd stalled, his number would have gone even higher because the Vetsulin was wearing off.

Since his number was climbing, it would have probably been a good time to try shooting a smaller dose (like maybe .5) just so he got some insulin instead of skipping completely (which as you've seen before, just sends him really high by next shot time)

I just don't know what to do for him anymore. I am in fear I am going to shoot him when I shouldn't and then skip a shoot when I should not. I think I need to make some very hard decisions very soon. I can't tell if he is in pain from his neuropathy. He drags a back leg. He has a huge lump on his side. I am thinking I am doing it all wrong by allowing him to continue. He is on no pain meds and I am sure he is in a lot of pain, he has to be. For Robert Ray's sake, I think I need to change gears for him.
