We give Sinatra his Lantus 1.5 2 x a day at 8:30/8:30. We are rarely off by 10 minutes. My son is graduating next Tuesday and we will have to leave the house around 5 pm. Won't be back until after 10 pm.

What do we do?

But also.....
I've also started asking people in my community if there is a vet tech that will come and attend to our cats when we go on vacation over the summer. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to vette one before then. But definitley not before graduation next Tuesday. Ideas? What do ya'll do with your insulin dependent cats on vacation?

IF you gave Sinatra his shot at say 10:30pm next Tuesday, could you then adjust his shot schedule in 15 minute increments per cycle (or 30 minute increments per day) back to where you want his shot schedule to be? If your preferred shot schedule is 8:30am / 8:30pm then that mean either:

10:30pm Tuesday
10:15am Wednesday
10:00pm Wednesday
9:45am Thursday
9:30pm Thursday
9:15am Friday
9:00pm Friday
8:45am Saturday
8:30pm Saturday

OR
10:30pm Tuesday
10:00am Wednesday
10:00pm Wednesday
9:30am Thursday
9:30pm Thursday
9:00am Friday
9:00pm Friday
8:30am Saturday

I always took my diabetic cat with me on vacations (because he was once feral and was afraid of strangers, and because I had no one I trusted more than myself), but every situation is different.

Thank you @Dyana :cat:
