I'm behind in posting again...my Mom's been having some health issues and medical procedures.

PJ is still hitting in the 300's - I thought it was mostly in the a.m. but now it's been a few in the p.m. She's been getting into the greens on the few days I've tested mid-day.

If someone can take a gander, I would appreciate any suggestions to get her numbers down a bit.

Thanks!

Sorry you have not been feeling well, Paula. She is looking pretty good at preshot and I'd assume she was going down lower at nadir. When you can, get some midcycle numbers and maybe we can see whether the dose would be helped by a smidge up or down?

Thanks Sue - I haven't been sick, just busy with work and getting my Mom back and forth to dr. appointments.

I was hoping you could glean something from the mid-cycle numbers I got 3/28,29,30.... I've been trying to stick to the .4-.5 range if in the 200's and .6-.8 range in the 300's.

How do I know if the 300's are rebounds? Not sure rebound is the correct word...

Hmmm. 3/28 the dose looks pretty good - no greens but a nice smile cycle with good blue nadirs. 3/29, I wonder what the naidr was - if lower, it looked pretty good. 3/30 it looks like it was a shorter cycle - 11 hours? So that might have been the early nadir and green? Hard to know exactly what was happening.

I would guess the 3/27 pink amps might be a bounce since the pmps the night before was below 200, but no real way to know without a nadir the night before.

I think we are stuck in the same place we have been. If you could push her into greens, it might be nice but you'd want to be there to monitor. For now, her numbers are very safe, generally below the renal threshold. I think your scale is working pretty well. Maybe push it up a smidge on a day you will be there to monitor.

You might check out Tommy and Sandy. She is in the same place you are. Tommy is in good numbers and she pushed a little the other day because she was home all day, but generally she can't monitor midcycle so she is cautious with dosing.

Okay thanks!

On 3/30 am it was early but since it was going up I went ahead and shot at 10a (+10).

Is nadir generally +6 for most cats?

That would be so nice. Unfortunately it varies with the cat but generally we say between +5-7. PJ's nadir seems to be earlier than that sometimes - more in the +4 range but then she surfs along in the 100s for hours - which is nice too. The nadir can also vary depending on whether the dose is a little too high or too low. If too high, the nadir can be late and make for a long cycle. If a little low, the nadir can be earlier. With PJ, it looks like if you can get a +5, you might get a low point.

Okay - maybe I can get it done this Sunday. Looks like w/her I need to test every hour...I just hate to do that to her. I usually have to sneak up on her most days to get her tested :YMSIGH:

Good - every 2 hours is a bit better.

Although I have seen her go up, go back down again, then up again - CATS!
