PJ 11/23/13 AMPS error

Delay in getting numbers this morning. Tried 4 times getting errors-tried on myself and was ok. She was pissed so didn't want to aggravate her more. Fed her and will check at 10...and keep my fingers crossed.

She was at 156 last night and got .25u so I'm sure she' s ok it's just frustrating! cat(2)_steam

Was it a "not enough blood" error? One trick is to try to "scoop" the sample onto a fingernail, and you might get a drop big enough for a 2nd try if the first test gives you an error.

At this time of the year, kitty's ears tend to stay cool or cold - cool/cold ears don't bleed well. I have to be sure KT's ears are quite warm before I poke or we do the error dance too...quite frustrating even after over 2 years of testing! Dakota's ears bleed fairly well most of the time so I don't have to warm his as much.

Hi carl..actually it was a test strip error. I just tried 2 more times..same thing. I did a control test, normal. Nothing is out of date/expired.

I called customer service and we checked all the lot numbers etc. The only thing he mentioned is holding the meter vertical and steady although I've been holding horizontal from the start but i have been a bit shaky today.

I'll try again before I leave at 12:30..... :roll:
