Stuck here at work overnight due to snow/ice event so couldn't check PJ last night or this morning. DH has never done it and he couldn't get any blood...we will sit down when I get home and do it until he's successful in case this happens again!

I told him to give her a .2 last night and this a.m. as I'm sure she was in the upper 200's/low 300's - maybe that will keep her down a bit until I get home, hopefully later this afternoon but not betting money on it.

Thanks Sue - snow just shuts us down here. Yesterday it was snow now it's packed ice... The sun is out but still not supposed to get much above freezing today. Hopefully some of the roads will be sanded and I can get home through the main highways. Hope DH will scope out our immediate area and let me know when it's clear enough...

^^^ what Sue said ^^^

Living in the south, the hiway depts are not prepared for this and it will shut us down. :o

Hasn't been so bad here since about 10-12 yrs ago, when we got 2 ft of snow (our '100 yr blizzard') and shut down the entire city, with people stranded on the interstate hiways for 8-12 hrs and kids stranded at their schools over night. Because the 'weatherman' was so far off and the roads dept didn't do anything ahead of time, we were a mess.

Since then, with the slightest hint of winter weather, they are out and going above and beyond. It can still be rough on the secondary roads, but all the majors are cleared quickly.

That and most southerners have no clue how to drive in this, so I stay home. Not knocking southerners, I am one, but have had little experience in the last 5-6 yrs or so. Before then, was in the mountains and dealt with this every winter. Now it's safer to stay home.

Hope everyone's kitties are ok when you get home. :YMHUG: cat_pet_icon
