He has been doing pretty well with his BG, he was 124 this morning which is pretty normal and too low to shoot again so thats encouraging, after eating he goes down into the 80's somewhere usually then has a nice bounce just to keep us on our toes but nothing like the bounces he is prone to over the past year and a half, his lump is the same, no worse and doesnt seem inflamed or sore other than what soreness you would expect after that huge needle.
I was in contact last night with someone who has been giving the implants and she said a little swelling is normal so I hope thats all it is. We moms tend to flap and imagine the worst with our little darlings dont we?
For the first time in over a year and 8 months I got to sleep in till 8 am! Hubby got them up and fed and tested and Pippin didnt need insulin so he just let me sleep, how decadent, I totally enjoyed it.
Thank you Pippin! (and daddy too)

No insulin again today and I just checked him and he is 97.
This is with an infection, it is confirmed, I finally managed to soak off the scab and pus came out so it is infected at the site of his implant. I got out all I could by soaking with warm cloths and then slathered with ointment and will see what it looks like in the morning and decide if the vet needs to be involved I guess. I am hoping that now its able to drain it will clear up on its own but with Pippin you just never know LOL

Deb your a great momma & I know Pippin will be just fine by tomorrow--What a needle! Poor baby, but if it helps...anything for them that we can do!
Big Hugs & Healing vines & snowflakes to dearest Pippin!
