Well, we made it safely to the hotel last night, thank goodness. We ran into the storm of the century. It was pretty rocky there for a bit. It was really crazy because one minute it would be pouring massive amounts of rain and then the next the road would be covered with enough sleet and hail to look like a good day's worth of snow/ice accumulation. We had to pull off several times. I got some good video of it for the vlog, but we did not make the hotel until late so pretty much crashed right after we walked in the door!
Pig's numbers jumped fast once we hit the bad weather. He was NOT a fan... Poor guy. However, he still handled it really well, but from Mom's lap. Even tough guys get to be scared sometimes.
He slept with me for a bit last night, but spent most of his time under the bed. I do find that a tad unusual. I think he is just really ready to be home.
We did have a fun adventure this morning before leaving out. I heard a funny noise followed by the clinking of kitty tags. I said "Oh no... Pig, what are you doing?", and then I hear my driver going "Oh no! Oh no!"... By the time I got over to them to see what was going on I heard the low, guttural growl of a cat protecting something and then a very loud and assertive "hiss"
in Michael's general direction.... I realized then what was going on and Pig was taking advantage of his position...
I swooped in and scruffed him quick so that I could pry open his panther jaws.... I managed to wrest the stole bit of breakfast sausage from his mouth before he could swallow it..
This cat...
He was a wild man over that sausage link. Whoa Black Biscuit had struck again... The infamous breakfast thief... Never leave your eggs unattended...
No worries, he promptly got some Pig appropriate licks of food from is breakfast bowl...
Back on the road again and hoping to make Limon, Co before stopping again. However, per radar the weather might determine that for us!
