Starting new trends over here in last night's cycle... Bouncing is soooooo last year! Pig is bringing in the YoYo!! Totally new and all the cool kitties are doing it! Lol... We definitely saw some fluctuations last night! Let us hope that today is a bit more steady with a nice little dip into the yellows!

pmps +2 363
+3 396
+4 318
+5 352

amps +417

Holding steady today... Hoping for a lower ps tonight. We will be increasing to 24uL on tonight's dose. This is really getting expensive... :nailbiting::nailbiting::nailbiting: Have other's leveraged the R a bit more to tamp down costs? I am a little afraid of that idea, but might need to consider something... His treatment fund is feeling the pinch here... :(

He stayed lower today, which is good... Came in what pmps of 327. Let us hope for some results with THIS L raise.. lol
24uL it is...

Good luck with the increase. One day you'll get there. :bighug:

We have had a couple of caregivers put a lid on the amount of L give. Suzanne maxed out Cobb at 31 units (all she could eyeball in 1 syringe) and used R. Here is Cobb's spreadsheet. The best thing Suzanne did for him was switch to Levemir. Suki maxed out Lev at 2 syringes and used R with Crystal. Here is Crystal's SS. Cobb was confirmed IAA and suspected acromegaly. Crystal was confirmed acromegaly but not IAA. Suki lived in France and couldn't get that test done. I'm almost suspecting Pig has IAA too. But you don't want to use enough R to cause bounces which raise the numbers. It's a fine balance.

To be honest, I have suspected the same thing... This does scare me because that means one day that shelf of resistance will break... I am sure that is a nail biter...

I will spend some time looking over these spread sheets... It still makes me nervous. I have talked to the vet about Levemir and she is on board. I have 3 Lantus pens left, but at this rate that will not last long at all. Next order will be Levemir.

So, it would be a series of very gradual increases followed by the tests to see what happens... Building a new scale, correct?

The IAA doesn't all break in one day. You get hints in advance. One green, multiple greens, nadirs go down. But it can be rapid. If it does happen, you go conservative and take larger reductions, or reduce at higher BG numbers. Sometimes a change in insulin seems to confuse the antibodies.

As for R, yes you keep on experimenting.
