Photo size - can't get one small enough?

Good Morning!
First of all, my Simon's BG was in the 200's this morning for the first time since we have been testing. Guess the FF is working :smile:

Second, wanted to upload a photo of my baby, but it keeps telling me that all of mine are too big? How do I get them small enough? He is all black with big green eyes and has a couple of tiny white hairs on his chest - not enough to even see unless you look close so he is as close to all black as I have seen.

Ok, that is all. He is doing great and seems to be moving down a little today on the numbers. Going to work from home today and try to get a few more readings and see when he peaks since I don't know when that happens.
 
I have the same problem and I have used the shrinkpictures website. I get a 90 x90 but it says that the file is still too big. I had to give up. So glad your sugarcat is doing well.
 
If you are trying to create an avatar using the Shrinkpictures.com website, be sure to click on Create Avatar over on the left hand side. Set the avatar size to 90. Then you can add that picture to your user control panel, profile, edit avatar, so we can see a tiny picture of your kitty.

Have you tried that method?
 
Thanks so much! The link worked and now you can see my baby! He is my heart and I thank you all for helping me keep him as healthy as I can. :-D

There's also a ridiculously low total file size on an avatar besides the 90 by 90 pixel limit. I had the same problem because the resolution on my pic was too high, and didn't fit the limit. I had to use a photo editor to lower the resolution on the photo so the pic would fit both restrictions.
Do you have a photo editor?
 
For mine, I ran Photoshop and tried a few different options (lowering the resolution, saving as gif, etc) couldn't get the image small enough to upload here.

A friend suggested using Photoshop's save for web function which got the image small enough to upload here.

Is this for your avatar photo or any photo? If you have a google account, you can use Google's online photo album and it gives you the ability to edit size there. Otherwise, there are a few online sites you can google for "making avatar pic" and you upload the photo you want shrunken.

Finally, if you have Windows7, you can right-click on the photo and select "edit" and select "paint" and the MSPaint program also has a re-size function.
 
Thank you kpassa!!! I don't use Google for security reasons but resizing with Windows7 editing did the trick. Now you all can see my beautiful foster sugarkitty - Snoball.
