Pepcid 10 mg tablets are no longer available on the Swedish market, whether it is temporary or permanently. Is there some other medicament that are similar, and it what dosage should it be given?

Ann, there is Famotidine....same thing as Pepcid A/C....is that available?

Normally avaible, but the pharamcies said they are having deliverance problems with that too.
Do Famotidine come in 10 mg tablets, and one give 1/4 tablet once a day?

Yes, 1/4 tab of the 10mg same as Pepcid A/C

Pepcid AC is "famotadine"....that's the generic chemical name.
Many chain-store pharmacies carry their own house brand of famotadine....ask
the pharmacist.
If you can only get 20mg tablets, then the dose is 1/8 of a tablet.
First cut the tablets into 1/4ths.
Then take each little 1/4th...stand it up on its rounded back, with
the point towards the ceiling.
Using a very sharp knife, cut vertically down, making two very thin
pie-shaped pieces.

If you cannot find Pepcid or famotidine, you can use Prilosec (omeprazole). The dosage is 0.5 to 1.0 mg/kg ONCE per day. For my cat (5.8 kg), that was 1/2 of a 10mg tablet once per day.
