Please tell me exactly what I am looking. It is not pepcid ac-- correct?

You do want pepcid ac, you can give her 1/4 of a 10mg pill. Do NOT get pepcid complete. Pick up a pill cutter if you don't already have one.

It IS Pepcid AC....the ingredient is Famotidine. NOT Pepcid Complete.

If you can get 10mg tablets, those are the easiest to handle. Some places have
only the 20mg extra strength.

And look for the house-brand at WalMart, Walgreens, CVS, etc. (Ask the Pharmacist)....cheaper.

Dose is 1/4 of a 10mg tablet or 1/8 of a 20mg tablet 2x per day.

Cutting a 20mg tablet can be tricky. First cut into 1/4ths. Then stand the 1/4 on its rounded back, and
use a very sharp knife to cut down from the point to the rounded side, SLICING it into a thinner wedge.
that worked better for me than to try to cut 1/8 side pie-wedges.

Pepcid AC (famotidine) is an H2 inhibitor that inhibits the formation of stomach acid. Only some nausea is caused by excess stomach acid.

If it is only nausea and not actual vomiting then Pepcid might help. If vomiting though you might need reglan. Also in severe cases the vets can also give you injectable pepcid. Had to do so with a kitty that had stomach cancer.
