Been a wild weekend for everyone! A couple of fur shots the last few days between my wife and I. Not entirely sure what to make of our numbers, maybe the fur shots have something to do with the randomness in our numbers, time will tell I suppose!
On to the cooler news though, Peeka’s neuropathy is still very evident and apparent, not much progress has been made in her walk. She has, however, taken to allowing herself back onto our ottoman in the living room which is about a foot or so high off the ground. Thursday, she sort of clawed her way up to get there, I was still happy. My wife informed me that yesterday, she was able to jump straight onto the ottoman with some slight clawing. About an hour ago I was going to check in on her, panicked I couldn’t find her in her normal spots, found her peacefully asleep on the ottoman and one of her favorite blankets!
So there’s my ray of positivity this morning. It still hurts seeing her walk, when she tries to scratch her neck, her lower leg near her paws sort of dangle near her face without scratching herself, but she is making more of an effort to get onto higher surfaces.
Here’s hoping for a good Sunday, and no more fur shots!
