Peeka diarrhea and nausea

Hey everyone,

was out for a bit today, came home and the wife told me Peeka had some diarrhea again and had been hiding under the bed. Last night she threw up a little bit of foam, I gave her anti nausea medicine, she ate, and that was that. She’s been having loose stools for a few days now, it started to firm up yesterday after giving her forti flora. Typically I need to give it to her for a day and she’ll get better. I also have her the cyancobolamine a few days early since that also helps out. She was have some nausea when I got home, gave her an anti nausea pill and she did eat a couple of purebites underneath the bed.

Not sure if anyone has any thoughts on the matter.

Hi Peter,

Sorry to hear that Peeka's digestive system is off again. It might be a pancreatitis flare (if yes, then hopefully just a mild one), in which case she might also need some bupe for pain relief. Is she drinking OK and is she properly hydrated? If not, she might need some support with fluids.

Hope she feels better quickly.

She continued eating purebites and came out around her normal dinner time for some food. Fed normally and drinking normally. I put more fortiflora in her food, hopefully her stomach will continue settling down.

Is she drinking OK and is she properly hydrated?

Hey Mogs,

normal drinking after she came out from under the bed. After she ate around 7 pm local time last night she stayed out and hung out with me in the living room on her cat bed. When I got up to make baby a bottle, she was staring at me and started purring for the next 15-20 minutes. Even after I started feeding the baby and was out of eyesight. It was pretty sweet. Before I left this morning she was hanging around the food bowl wanting some breakfast, so I’m hoping her appetite is back to normal. She did eat again at +6 last night/this morning.
