Hey everyone,

Wife is at home today and was able to get a +5. She did report that Peeka made a trip to the litter box and had runny stool, this morning her stool was normal. She did give her some food, which she ate. My wife mentioned she didn’t seem overly hungry, but Peeka is used to not eating at this time. Going to hope it’s nothing serious, the last time she had vomited nothing came from it, so I’m hoping this is a similar case. It’s been about 30 minutes since she ate and is lounging around the house now.

Fingers and paws crossed all is well. ;):coffee:
It's been almost two hours and no issues. She played with my wife for a bit, and when she went to feed Boo, she apparently came out to get some food for herself. I wonder if occasional runny stool may be somewhat normal for a cat who has had pancreatitis and other stomach issues before?

Stomach issues for sure but I know nothing about pancreatitis .

If the pancreatitis is chronic then there can be flare-ups, Peter. I'd suggest asking the vet to run a Spec fPL tomorrow to check whether there's any inflammation. Hope it's something simple that the vet can sort out for Peeka.

Mogs
.
Will do. I'm not sure what to expect for tomorrow, I sincerely hope it's nothing serious, but every time something like this happens, I get super anxious.

We do too Peter. :bighug:
Many here swear by the S Boulardi . I've never used it because the fortiflora works for Zoe. It doubles as an appetite stimulant. Zoe is a VERY picky eater.
Thanks, I'll look into the fortiflora since I've seen that recommended as well. I'm going to wait and see what the vet says tomorrow. I feel awful every time a new speed bump comes along like this, unexpectedly.

Just got home, she seems to be ok so far. The wife fed her a little bit before leaving. She ate well for me just now, she walked over to the water bowl and has only taken a few licks from it. Not really drinking much, if at all.

edit: sorry for panicky updates, she just drank a fair amount of water from her bowl. It took her a while to do so, but she did drink a good amount.

You think youre panicking now...wait till your little bundle of joy arrives!:bighug:
The over analyzing will be really real then!

honestly, if my wife hadn’t told me Peeka had multiple runny stools today, I never would have thought anything was wrong for the most part. She’s been acting normal with me, even leapt up onto the ottoman earlier for some snuggles and pets.

Here she is, pretending to want to spend time with me, but actually trying to get into the room I’m in.

Ruby has not had any diarrhea since I started sprinkling Fortiflora on her food. Her poo is still rather odorous though but I'm not sure I can do anything about that. Hope Peeka is ok!
Thanks for the insight, I've noticed it happens every few weeks, and I'm hoping this is just one of those times and it's nothing too serious! Glad to hear Ruby is having more firm stool since starting Fortiflora!
