I just said goodbye to my buddy, Peanut Butter. She came into my life after my semi feral cat, Squirt, passed away. She showed up one day and I earned her trust over time. She became mine officially after we scanned her for a chip and nothing came up. I put up flyers and nobody called. After caring for her when she got in a fight with a cat and then a raccoon, she eventually realized that the space I set aside for her in my garage was the bomb. She had a set up!

She had a safe life in my yard and garage until one day when some dogs were being walked illegally on a right of way next to my house, got under two gates and attacked her. She was ok, thankfully and got laser treatments for the arthritis and some bumps twice a week for about two years after the attack. She was moved into her own room here in the house and has enjoyed the safety of the inside but missed the outdoors.

She didn't want to hang out with the other cats and I respected that.

She didn't want to tell the animal communicator her name because she didn't like it and it reminded her of where she lived a while back. It was Princess. I am glad that she said that she hated that name because it was one that I was considering for her.

:) She became my princess, but I never uttered the P word.

She was in perfect health until a couple of weeks ago. She had a big dental in October, a root canal earlier this month and then fell ill with a few different health issues, including diabetes, and unfortunately she is in too much pain to continue on so she will be earning her wings in a couple of hours when one of our great vets makes a house call.

We hung out in her room together all day and I'll miss her so much, but I want her to be pain free.

Thanks again for helping this FD veteran turned newbie over the past couple of weeks.

So very sorry it's PB's time to leave you Holly.....I know you've done everything you could for her and setting her free is the only gift of love you have left to give her.

Fly Free sweet Peanut Butter and land softly....you have lots of friends at the Bridge to welcome you and keep you company until the one you love most comes to be with you forever cat_wings>o

I am so very for your loss. I am glad you got the chance to spend the day with her. Sometimes love is so painful. She will live on in your heart until the day you are once again reunited at the Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so very sorry to hear about Peanut Butter. She sounds such a character. I hope this subject doesn't offend anyone as I believe animals have souls and life after deathI've been in touch with animal communicators too, with cats this side and at Rainbow Bridge. When my Birman was still alive she said she liked Ambrosia and why didn't I give it to her any more. I used to get flavoured custard and she used to lick the cartons out, the name was 'Ambrosia'. Also Angel's sister Jordan who I lost to acute rf at age 8 said from Rainbow Bridge 'Blue can be for a girl'. Well a few days later I went to her cremation and she was laid out on a blue blanket!
Your sweet girl is always with you x

Oh no, Holly! I'm so sorry to hear it was Peanut Butter's time to go. It hurts so much when you have let them go. You have my deepest condolences.

Hi Holly,
I remember you from back in 2008 - 2009 when I was on the board with Flame. I am so sorry to hear of Peanut Butter's loss. May she fly free with the Angels now, pain free, healed and whole. And, may your heart be full of wonderful memories.
Unfortunately, we are back as well. Old timer newbies.

Love, Donna and Flame

So very sorry to hear this. I love your kitty's name! I knew a lady with cats (at different times) named Fluffer Nutter and Nutter Butter. I lost my Chestnut in October due to pancreatic cancer, so know that you are not alone in your grief. Hugs.
