Hi PZI people,

This forum is based on the principle that everyone who has been helped pays it forward, helping someone else. I have suggested this before but would like to suggest an easy way to do that again. Each time you post, post something on someone else's thread also. It can be a message of support or a hello or some advice on food or something that has worked for your kitty. You all have dosing experience; I'd love to see you post what dosing techniques work for you.

We need to have more voices represented on this forum. I know you are all busy, but posting one extra time when you post only takes a few seconds. Think how good it makes you feel to have several people post on your thread.

And please, when you see a new person post, welcome them

Thanks, Sue

I will certainly try to make an effort in encouraging others as I have already been helped ~ never discouraging to see a post from a seasoned person.

Amen Sue! As much as I love to hear from you it is frustrating as a newbie when you get nothing but crickets! As I get more experienced I will certainly be posting on others messages, and would love input from others in mine - sometimes it just helps to know I am not alone...

Great post, Sue! Spot on. Right now I'm not good for much more than encouragement but, like Jen, as I get more experience, I hope I can add more advice of my own. It's nice for newbies and oldies alike to know we're all in this together.

You can welcome folks to the board.

If on insulin, you can talk about the importance of home testing for the safety of the cat.
If not on insulin yet, you can link them to our standard reference for food, Cat Info and explain that food changes being gradual may avoid GI upsets.

If the person is a ProZinc or PZI user, you can mention that it is possible to use U-100 syringes with a conversion chart.

You might mention what you like about ProZinc or PZI insulin and if originally started on a different insulin, you might explain why you switched.

As busy as I am, I will try to help out more often. I know the value of support as Tommy wouldn't be where he is with out you all. Working 50 hours a week leaves me exhausted some days, but I know that I could committ some time more often. Thanks for the reminder, Sue. I will be in the cheering section, at the least. :-D

This is a great idea. Even though I can't offer much advice... still struggling with figuring out the correct sugar dance steps and asking questions... I will make an effort to offer support to those who need it. This is such a great website and we all have something to contribute. Even the "small stuff" counts. :RAHCAT

Bump. BTW, I am leaving the country (Bucket list trip to New Zealand and Australia) tomorrow and will be gone 3 weeks. Hope that everyone's kitty continues to do well. I will try to get on when we have internet but it probably won't be very often.
