So I missed yesterday's morning test/shot & were good to shoot last night. We're down to .5u (yet 1u didn't seem to get him low enough a short while ago) and I just can't understand this numer being so low right now! We're even late with the test too.

My cat is literally galloping around the house these days. The last he ever ran like this was when he was a kitten! Oh, except for a short spurt here or there if we're due for snow, this is just so unlike him - but a pleasant surprise.

Any thoughts?

Just keep testing him...you may very well be on your way to a diet controlled kitty...We consider a cat in remission if they can go 14 days without insulin and remain in normal numbers with the majority of those numbers in the double digits. This could be a very good thing. :-D

Don't go getting my hopes up! LOL Well, we've held pretty steady today with no insulin, slightly on the rise tonight but still under 200. I'd like to give a maintenance dose but afraid of dropping him too much. Wondering if I can do .25u....
