PATCHES UPDATE 5-31-17

Well, today she is acting the same - but maybe a little less active. I gave her amoxi and syringe food. She still hates the syringe food and still not eating.

Her test was 127 9am this morning - yes, I said 127 this morning! I gave her 1 1/2u instead of her normal 2u because I freaked at 127! Did spot check at 12:30 (3 hrs later) and she was 103. Did one at 4:30pm (4 hrs after that).........and she was 112. So, she is definetely sputtering!!

Keep prayer coming - still need her to get over her fear of eating and start eating for me. She is smelling stuff and then turns away.....:'(

Have you thought about getting her an appetite stimulant from the vet? Many here use cyproheptadine which has fewer side effects than mirtazapine.

Many cats get a bit weird on mirtazapine - yowling, agitation, restlessness, etc. My mother's elderly cat sure did! Some cats don't have any of this and Patches might be one of those. Nausea might be aside issue that is preventing her from eating. Cerenia can help with that and many here have good luck with ondansetron (Zofran).
