Panzer is doing great! I now have him & my other 2 kitty's off of the dry food & only eating Fancy feast pate. They are all still begging for the dry food but I'm not giving in! His #s have been lower today than what they were yesterday. I got his new test strips today, so I will be testing more frequently now. My vet insists on me still giving him the 6units of insulin, I just agree with them. He is getting 4units of insulin right now, so we will see how that goes. Thank you to everyone who is helping me through this!❤

What your vet doesn't know won't hurt Panzer!....LOL You hold the syringe and you know him better than anybody!

Once I got my script for Lantus from Canada, I never took China back to a vet for her diabetes. I listened to the people here instead. If I had to take her in for another reason, I'd start the conversation with "She's on X units of Lantus and her BG runs between Y and Z but today we're here for (fill in the blank)" and that was usually the end of it. If the vet did feel she just had to say something, it was usually "well if you'd feed her this "prescription" food, blah blah blah" and I'd just smile, nod my head and say "I'll think about that"....and come right back here

Yep that's what I will do to. When I picked him up she said we need to see him back in 6mons & all we have to do is take blood & we will know his #s for the past 2wks. She said do you want to set up the appointment now or call closer to time. I said I will call you. I got a copy of his blood work but it's on paper. I'm going to call them tomorrow & have them email them to me so I can put them on here. I have no clue what most of it means. There were some comments I did not like like about doing a complete urinalysis to check his kidneys, which they did not do!
