It's been a couple of weeks since I posted. Had a lot going on with my car breaking down on the same night that I shot Panzer at his lowest PMPS, so not only was I upset about my car but I was also worried to death about getting back to him. I went out to my daughters to help her with getting some mats out of her kitty & a little before getting on the main road out of her housing addition my car just stopped & wouldn't go in drive or reverse. I got out & their was a winding silver mess around my front passenger side tire. It ended up being that the ball joint popped out, I called my daughter & told her what happened & her & her boyfriend & his uncle came down. They called my daughters boyfriend's other uncle & his wife came with a trailer to take it out to their house & fix it. Long story short I was very lucky it broke down there if it would have happened on the main road my car probably would have gotten smashed. I do believe my mom was watching over me. I ended up using my daughters back up car to work the rest of that week & the next week. It's fixed now & thankfully my daughter paid for it & I'm paying her back as soon as I can.

On to Panzer I had discussed taking a clean catch of Panzer's urine into the vet to see if he had a UTI. Well I know Panzer & I believe he does have a UTI. It took me a week to get a refill on his doxycycline to get it refilled because apparently nobody carries 75mg tablets so they had to order them. I started him on it on 8-09 @ PMPS shot/feeding. It is definitely giving him a belly ache, he's been either liquid poop or constipated. I didn't give him MiraLax for at least a 24hr stretch which caused him to be constipated. I've only been giving him MiraLax once a day for now & that seems to help. He's grouchy & growling quite a bit & I looked at his butt & it looked yucky so I put him the bath tub& soaked his butt. He of course didn't like it but it seems to have helped.

Him & Spook are both still on ondansetron & MIrataz. I had to syringe feed Spook the same night that my car broke down because he had refused 3 out of 6 meals. It wasn't fun at all & my first time ever doing it. He doesn't like to be held & he's not a lap kitty at all. I had to wrap him in a towel & slowly syringe feed him. I ended up giving him 12tsps of liquid food. He ate the next morning, then the next 2 mornings he decided he wasn't eating his first meal of the day @AMPS. I switched him back to Cerenia & that seemed to help. We ran out of it though & it's expensive so he's taking the ondansetron & is eating well now. Panzer has been eating very good as well.

I asked the vet to approve a prescription for Spook & Panzer of mirtaz to chewy because it is $25 cheaper through them. They called me back & said they could call it in for Spook & refills of it but they won't call anything in for Panzer because he is past due for his rabies shot. I told them he has been sick & getting meds through them & that's why he can't have his rabies vaccine. They don't care but as long as I can get refills for Spook they can share. That brings me to my question...Does anyone know if there is a waiver I can get for a diabetic cat with flare ups of pancreatitis & a history of UTI s to waive any & all vaccines?

Panzer has had some pretty wild cycles but I've noticed a difference in which side I give him his shot in. If I give it to him on the left side of his body he has beautiful cycles if I give it to him on the right side where he has developed Lantus pockets he has high #s. I really don't understand that but that is what I've noticed. https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/thr...-180-4-152-6-133-7-141-8.266579/#post-2984824

As you can see from the 300 @+4 PMPS I gave him his shot on his right side. He wouldn't let me give it on the left. Sometimes he's good about letting me shoot on the left & sometimes he keeps moving away from me!

wow. u certainly have your hands full! I hope you can find a waiver for Panzer. you would think it is common sense not to force a thousand meds on a cat at once. with uears of schooling, vets should have good discernment on things like that.

I hope you and the family have better days coming.

Yes they should & then they want to force me into giving him a rabies vaccine. They are both indoor only cats, it's just ridiculous!

Thank you I hope so too!

Shot Panzer on the left side for AMPS & PMPS, I didn't get to test as much for AMPS but it looks like he had a decent cycle.
