So, Bubber has presumptive pancreatitis. He meets clinical criteria and his blood work has shown no other concerns. Imaging has been deferred, as his vet doesn't find it terribly helpful in diagnosis.
He's still on Flagyl (to treat diarrhea), Lantus (but down to 5 units as he's going hypo a lot), and we've added subQ fluids (150cc daily), zofran 1mg twice daily, bupe for pain, and I'm following him around with low/mod carb food to try and encourage eating, as he's anorexic. We've a call in to discuss steroids, and are picking up an appetite stimulant later today.
Any other suggestions, things we should or could do? I'm torn between thinking he's doing OK and thinking he's fading away in front of me :/
