Yesternight my dad did not see Neo and closed the door, accidentaly breaking the tip of his tail. Today is saturday and there are only two non-emergency vets open where I live, one that treats cats very badly and another one that we called and they told us that they could see him next week. We asked for some pain meds so he wouldn't be in pain until the appoinment, but she said that she could not give any until then.
His vet is closed for the weekend, and my mother is going to call him as soon as they open in Monday.
What can I do until then? My mother cleaned his wound with chlorhexidine so it won't get infected.
He's acting like usual and using the litterbox with no problem.

As long as it's just the tip of the tail and the bone is not exposed, not bleeding, he should be okay. Keep him indoors so it doesn't get dirty or cause more damage. Apparently an injury to the tip of the tail is not as painful as it would be if closer to the body. There are no OTC pain meds that are safe for cats so as long as he's acting okay, you'll just have to try and keep him comfortable until Monday.

Sorry you have such insensitive vets in your area.

50 or 75 mg of gabapentin is good and is available from a human pharmacy with a script.. I divide a 100 mg capsule into the required dose. I It is bitter and best to give it ina capsule with a pill gun.

Thank you all for your advice. @Larry and Kitties sadly I wasn't able to get a script because vet didn't have an appoinment that day and she said that she would not give a script without checking him first, and gave us an appoinment for the next week!
@Deborah & Muffy(GA) & Wendall Thanks, he's more comfortable today, although good look trying to check how his tai is healing.
Sorry you have such insensitive vets in your area.
There was one that was a cat specialist and he saved Neo when he got an infection and organ failure after getting into the laundry room and eating something, but he retired and now the vets there treat cats really bad, with one of them treating dogs bad too. We had to bring Neo there when he got a diabetic crisis (before beign diagnosed again) and she didn't even took him out of his carrier, just said that yes he's sick and to come back with a full glucose curve done. Neo was very dehydrated and didn't bleed enough for that glucometer, so I took him with his usual vet as soon as possible (he opens a few hours later). He took him out of his carrier, made a fulll bloodwork, measured his tension and cheked his heart, and then rehydrated him before sending him home. And he was very worried for him, I could see his face change as soon as he saw him.

Hello!

His vet told us to come at 12:30, althought we had to wait until 1pm because an emergency came in.

His tail isn't broken! :D He says that is hanging down because it hurts him or because he may have some nerve damage, we'll know after giving him his pain meds for 4 days. He checked his spreadsheet too and said to increment his night dose to 0.3 U since his BG is high at morning, today I'll give hin 0.25 and check how it goes before going to bed in case his BG goes high because at night it goes down.
He gained some weight too, 400 grams / 0.9 lbs; which was rrally important as he's severly underweight. He was hydrated and way more active at the clinc too, he even jumped off the table and started exploring! He was so weak last time that he just laid down.

I'm really happy that it isn't actually broken and his vet is really happy at his progress too

Very good news the tail is not broken.
I don’t think I would increase the pm dose until You have got some pm BG tests done. The reason he could be high in the mornings is because he could be dropping lower overnight and bouncing in the morning.
