Hi! My husband decided we would go to the beach this weekend and get a hotel and stay overnight! Just diagnosed in Dec. with diabetes, so still kinda new to all this. Before I could just leave a big bowl of dry food overnight & come home the next day to kitty. I don't know what to do now, since she's strictly wet food and nobody to give insulin! I feed and give a shot at 6am and 6pm. We aren't leaving till noon tomorrow so the morning is covered. Worried about tomorrow night and morning and I'm kinda in a panic! I've been very diligent about a schedule. Any advise or thoughts?

If you absolutely can't get anyone you know, friend or even a vet tech from your Veterinary, then my first thought is try to find an experienced pet sitter. There's that care.com commercial that offers pet sitters, although I'm not 100% sure if they have ones for any special need / instruction fur babies. I'm trying to look into them more because I will need one later this year if I can't get a friend to learn. If you do look and they have ones who can care and give meds, please let me know lol.
I definitely would not skip any doses, my personal opinion. I would be too worried as well.

New to the area and don't really know anyone and family is too far away. I'll have to see what I can find be for tomorrow afternoon. If worse comes to worse, I guess I can take a disposable litter box and the kitty!

Call around to your local veterinarians and see if they have a tech who will come to you house to give a shot(s) while you are not home.

We had that issue over the summer. When we went away for two nights we boarded her at the vet... when it was overnight and we were coming back the next morning we skipped that shot. She was ok. We did have a relative come over and feed wet food though.
