Good Morning All,

I'm a stickler for anything that is passed it's date code. But I have 2 bottles of test strips (100) that are dated 9-09.
My Buddy is IAA, so I need to have as accurate as possible on readings. But I just hate throwing them away. The strips are Contour. What do you think that date really means, is there an amount of time after that date that is still good. I did test it with the solution that comes with them and it did show OK, but in the back of my mine is that expiration date!!
Any advice on whether to use or not??

Thanks
Jan and Buddy

Ele & Blackie has used expired Contour strips too and haven't had a problem as far as I know except on some reeeeeeally old ones

I'm glad to see this. I just bought 100 strips online and when they arrived today, I was POed to see a 3/10 exp date.

the accuchek aviva is the only one i know you absolutely cannot use past the expiration date. and not even because of accuracy. the darn little meter won't let you. it tells you "expired strip" and just sits there laughing at you
