Our cat was diagnosed yesterday... I'm lost

Her PMPS is 394 tonight... What amount would be too much of a drop from there? So I know whether or not I need to stay up to do a +4? Is a 125 or lower drop ok at +2?

I wish I could but I've had nights where I woke up in the middle of the night and layed there for hours in tears because my brain wouldn't just shut up and let me go back to sleep.
Okay this is related to you and not your cat, but have you tried a supplement called GABA (not Gabapentin!) It’s (explanation from the Cleveland Clinic) “Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) is a neurotransmitter, a chemical messenger in your brain. It slows down your brain by blocking specific signals in your central nervous system (your brain and spinal cord).

GABA is known for producing a calming effect. It’s thought to play a major role in controlling nerve cell hyperactivity associated with anxiety, stress and fear.”

It really can help calm the brain, especially at night.
Maybe I should have put that in a PM, but I have found GABA to be helpful in the past at times.

If it's not too much trouble, could you please start a new thread? This is getting very long. Give a very short summary with the new thread.

(We try to keep threads to under 50 posts.)
For some reason I'm can't seem to find where I can start a new thread. Sorry Im trying to figure out navigating the sight.

At the very top of the screen when you go to this main forum there is a blue box that says “Post New Thread” just under the name Main - Feline Health Welcome and FAQs. That is where you begin a new thread. Remember if you’re having an emergency or need a question answered ASAP to put the ? In your thread title.

If we look at her spreadsheet, she usually does seem to have a pretty good drop by +2. But then she seems to level off a bit and move a little slower. Since this dose is kind of new to her, do you think maybe you could just get a +3 also and if she’s slowed down then feed her and maybe leave some LC food out (I don’t know how many cats you have) and go to sleep. If she isn’t going down much then don’t worry. I am on Eastern time and will be going to sleep, but some people will be around.

Phoenix, I hope you got some rest last night. I just am checking in on you and I see that Mouse was pink last night (I thought that she might be) so hopefully you had an easy decision to just go to sleep. See if you can make the new thread today. I made a post about it on this thread last night (about the blue post new thread button) but if you’re still having trouble then @Diane Tyler's Mom can probably help walk you through it. She’s great at explaining these things.

To start a new thread tap in this blue link
https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/forums/feline-health-welcome-main-forum.28/
Look to the right you will see in a blue box it says post new thread ,tap in it and I would put the Date first then Mouse then the AMPS BG number and any question you have after that, then you can start writing what you want .
Then you can link this thread to today's one in case members want to go back and read it.
You would copy the this thread and paste it to the new one
