Oh my gosh everyone! Thank all of you so much for coming by to celebrate with Tius & I today! We are sooooo excited & happy beyond words! Titus & I can't be happier to know that we are free from the ridged schedule of testing & shooting! As some of you know, I started out this insulin thing with a cast on my left hand making it very difficult to do what I had to do to help big guy-aka-Titus :smile! He moved in with me just about the time that he was diagnosed with high bg! He came from a home with alot of stress, a UTI, uncontrolled diet (eating dog food) & people who thought it was funny to see him eat ice cream & table scraps! A change in his diet & environment saved his life! I give Joyce so much more credit than myself because she believed in the cause & stood by me every inch of the way with her knowledge, wisdom & love no matter what time of day it was or what she was doing, she was here for us! Her love for our wonderful feline friends & her own experience with Tuscany helped her to help me! In the moments when I was feeling overwhelmed & not sure if I could continue, she encouraged me to continue on because Joyce truly believed that we had a good chance of overcoming this & praise God, we did! I truly think that we caught it in the early enough stage before any damage was done to the pancreas & the liver! I will be having my right hand operated on very soon & am so grateful to know that I won't have to deal with this while going through it especially given that I am right handed The knowledge & wisdom that I have gained through this whole thing will prepare me to fulfill my hearts desire to do pet sitting once I get to old & tired to do what I'm doing now :lol: I know that there is a need for people like Joyce, myself & all of you to support others who will find themselves one day with a diabetic cat/dog! Lord Bless all of you on the LL sight who continue to support, encourage, rejoice & greeve with those who find themselves looking for the answers to a foreign or unknown subject!
